Ok, today I heard that focal lenght in 16 mm cameras is different from super8? 150mm in 16mm is 300mm in super8? And also SLR is different? I have a Beaulieu because it has changeable lens and I'm looking for a wide angle / anamrphic / good zoom etc. etc. Beaulieu has a c-mount. So I thought that lenses that are mainly manufactured for 16mm cameras should be ok if they have a c-mount (I might buy a 16mm camera some day and I want to be able to use the lenses in both). And I will also buy an adapter for my SLR lenses, but now I'm really confused. I checked some c-mount lenses from ebay etc... and I can't really tell witch lenses are wide. I need a very wide lens (not fisheye). Maybe about 15-25 in SLR. But I just keep finding lenses that say "wide angle 4mm" or "wide angle 15mm" or "wide angle 28". What the f**....??? So I need help? Anyone?
- How do I know what is the focal length on my SLR lenses if I use them on my Beaulieu super8?
- What to buy? I don't want to pay 200USD for a wide angle lens that is not wide angle!
- Ok, lens has a C-mount. Is it REALLY gonna fit to my camera?
- Let's say I'll buy a wide angle for my Beaulieu and my friend wants to lend it for his 16mm Grasnakorsk. Does he have a fisheye or tele in his 16mm?
- How long does it take to have a headache thinking about different focal lenghts?
- thanks -
